Curiously
As you know, in Fourthwall (my site provider!) allows different methods of distribution of content.
I can share my audio works by the traditional method - creating a post.
- Posts is the same mode of content delivery as Patreon, Fantia and Fanbox
- This is the most familiar method people know and love
- If going by this route, I'm thinking of completely eliminating the shop method of consolidating the audios and putting the artworks there, as I feel it's too redundant doing both at the same time
Another method is through distribution in the shop.
- This month, I didn't make a shop item, and instead made separate posts to share the extra artworks and sketches for their respective patreon tiers
- I'm considering instead of making posts and a compilation by the end of the month, I'd make a shop item instead weekly.
- Of course this item will be "free" to patrons. You buy it for $0, then it becomes downloadable for you. If you're not a patron, then you will pay a pre-determined rate
- I don't know how to price it yet, especially if it's released as individual audio files instead of one item... another idea is, for patrons, it's a weekly shop item, but for non-patrons, they'll have to wait until end of month, and then it becomes available as a consolidated shop item for them to purchase
So I'm interested. What do you think?
Majority vote doesn't necessarily mean it will win, but I am curious about your stance.
(Yes, this post is open even to ex-patrons and non-patrons!)
